Three films set in a timeline created by Nero’s temporal incursion in 2233 — reimagining Kirk, Spock, and the crew with a new cast. The 2009 film is an accomplished relaunch. Into Darkness divided audiences. Beyond, the most standalone of the three, is arguably the most purely enjoyable.
